We welcomed another group of homeschool families to the farm today, and what a beautiful day it was! Our little farm manager was able to join the tour as well and was happy to show the new friends around!
The kids got to taste curly endive, tomatoes, and peppers, learn how drip tape and row covers help us grow our crops, and see where everything grows. They were surprised to discover how okra grows, made new friends, got lost (and found!) in the asparagus ferns, and picked their own pumpkins to take home!
They finished off their visit with a picnic surrounded by the beautiful fall colors.
We love seeing so much life and energy at the farm! It's always a joy to share a little about farming with young visitors, show them where their food comes from, and hopefully inspire a future farmer or two! ;)
